What is a despacho?

Following this direction, I am now available to administer despachos to individuals or to groups.

A despacho is a ceremonial offering composed of a wide variety of items, each with its own symbolic meaning. The items are intricately arranged on white paper, blessed by the shaman performing the ceremony, bundled up and burned, buried, or sunk in a lake or other body of water. Despachos feed our connections to the sacred and can have many purposes. There are several types of despachos that can be performed by a shaman.

The ayni despacho is a way of establishing reciprocity, right relationship, balance and harmony with the Universe. If you give you will receive and if you receive you must give back. It is an honoring of the cycle of abundance and gratitude. This despacho brings many blessings and can be done for specific purposes such as creating harmony, good will, munay (love, respect), marriage, etc. This is an excellent way to promote abundance in a business endeavor or increase co-operation on projects. The beginning of a year is an excellent time to do an ayni despacho, but the ceremony can be held at any time.

The aya despacho or the death despacho is performed to break connections or to soothe the transition from one situation to another. It is used after divorce, ending of a relationship, ending of a job or career, loss of a loved one, etc. The ending of the year is an excellent time to do an aya despacho.

The cuti despacho is used to release sorcery against a person. If someone is psychically attacking you or you are feeling immersed in hucha (heavy energy) that connection is released by the cuti despacho. This is only used in rare circumstances and must be done carefully.

The Venta Despacho is held to release barriers to business success and to create the proper energy to promote business wealth and prosperity.  Plan to bring with you small items to add to the despacho, which will be put into the fire, items which to you represent the job of your dreams, the path that will bring you fulfillment and financial success at the same time.  Use your heart and your imagination, (example: to a Shaman, a dried kernel of corn represents fertility and abundance.  To another, a leaf from a fruit tree represents the bounty from the Garden of the Earth). Other appropriate items to feed the energy include sweets (candy, chocolate, sugar), monopoly money, photo copies of large bills, etc.

Valentine's Day Love Despacho

A despacho is a ceremonial offering composed of a wide variety of items, each with its own symbolic meaning. The items are intricately arranged on paper, blessed by the shaman performing the ceremony, bundled up and burned, buried, or sunk in a lake or other body of water. Despachos feed our connections to the sacred and can have many purposes. This Love Despacho will bring you into right relationship with your romantic partner or others whom you love--your children, your friends, yourself, or Mother Earth.   The despacho is an opportunity to release barriers and impediments to unconditional love in your life and can deepen your relationship with another. You do not need to have a partner to attend this despacho. Plan to bring with you small items to add to the despacho, which will be put into the fire.  These items  should represent to you  anything that interferes with the opening of the heart chakra or they can  represent  the sweetness of life and love. Use your heart and your imagination, (example: to a Shaman, a dried kernel of corn represents fertility and abundance; chocolate  represents the  sweetness and blessings of life ).  This despacho creates a sense of connection to  your heart and soul and to the heart and soul of another.
